One of the greatest inovators in US history passed away during the past month. Steve Jobs lead Apple Computer from its beginning, and despite a brief respite (11 years), he pushed the company forward creating an computer/entertainment company that spanned most demographics.
Steve Jobs passed away before the company announced the iPhone 4s, their 4th generation of a phone that changed the smartphone industry. The improvements to the phone were inovative, similar to the company founder. Pre-orders of the phone reached 1 million, which was nearly double the previous model (the iPhone 4).
During the past 2 weeks, when investor began to purchase stocks pushing technology off their lows, Apple bounced off its 200-day moving average and has tested the highs reached in mid-September. The stock is near a record 420, and is poised to break out to reach new highs.
